Every American president faces at least one major crisis that defines their presidency. It is a test of their ability and also of their character. Sometimes it will help their reelection. Other times it will usher them out unceremoniously. These are thoughts on each of our presidents since World War II. On the left are mine and on the right are the thoughts of my colleague Mr. Charles "Westy" Westenhoff (Colonel, U.S. Air Force, Ret.). A big thank you to Westy for this.
